Andrea Carrubba was born in 1984 and after University he studied at the John Kaverdash Accademy in Milan and he graduated in Professional Photography. 
He attended masters in Photojournalism and in Visual Communication held by Sandro Iovine and he also attended a photojournalism workshop with Sergio Ramazzotti, a founder of Parallelo Zero. In 2012 he started working as freelance photojournalist cooperating with national and international magazines, newspapers, universities and websites. In the same year he made “there has been an earthquake” a reportage about the earthquake in Emilia Romagna, edited by Sandro Iovine. It was presented and exhibited in different parts of Italy: Milan, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Crema and Varese.
In 2013 he exhibited at the WSP Photography in Rome and in 2014 for the University of Genova at Villa del Principe - Palazzo di Andrea Doria.
 In 2014 he covered the Ukraine Crisis in Donbass publishing on some international newspapers and in the same year he found Lview Project with Alberto Maretti and Mauro Prandelli. In 2015 he attended a “War Reporting Training Camp” with Ugo Lucio Borga (Echo Agency), Cristiano Tinazzi (Il Messaggero) and with the support of Italian Army. He is specialized in crisis and emergency areas and he is listed as embedded photojournalist by Italian Army. He works in particular in Southest Asia, Europe, East Europe and Latin America. He is currently working in different projects focused on social and humanitarian issues in Italy and abroad.
